Delos tours from Mykonos: guided, by sailing boat or by yacht
Delos on your own is a €25 boat, a €20 entrance and a huge site with few signs to explain it. That is why many people prefer one of these three: the all-inclusive guided visit, the sailing boat combining a swim at Rhenia with the site, or the yacht for those who come to Mykonos for exactly that.
1. Guided visit to Delos with entrance included (€79)
Four hours, departing at 10:00 (and in the afternoon depending on the date). A 30-minute ferry, a guided walk through the theatre quarter (houses of Dionysus and Cleopatra), the ancient theatre, the Temple of Apollo, the Terrace of the Lions, the House of the Dolphins and the Temple of Isis, plus 50 free minutes. Guide in English with radio headsets (€150 deposit if the kit is lost). Includes return ferry and entrance. The best rated: 8.6/10 from 250 reviews. Departure at 10:00 from the old port on a kaiki, the classic Greek boat, with an open bar of soft drinks. First Rhenia, the uninhabited island next door: swimming, snorkelling and beach, and lunch aboard. Around 14:30, Delos, with free time for the site (those who don’t want to go in can return to Rhenia, one review says). Six and a half hours. Guide and entrance not included: the listing says €12, but the Delos ferry company publishes €20 for 2026; bring cash for 20.

Five hours on a yacht from Platis Gialos bay, with pickup at hotels, the old port and the new port (booking 24 hours ahead; otherwise, meeting point at the Agia Anna Paraga jetty). Rhenia with swimming, snorkelling and kayaks, a three-course lunch aboard and Delos. English-speaking guide. If the weather prevents reaching the islands, it switches to Mykonos’ south coast (Psarou, Paraga, Paradise, Super Paradise, Agrari, Elia). 9/10 from 12 reviews.
4. From Naxos: Mykonos and Delos in a day (from €75)
If you are staying on Naxos, no need to get to Mykonos on your own: ten hours from Naxos port with an English-speaking escort, free time on Mykonos and on Delos. 8.0/10 from 10 reviews. The site entrance (€20) and food are not included. Bookable up to two days ahead, and in September it showed no availability: check the dates. There is a similar trip from Paros, but at 6.2/10 we do not link it.
Which to choose
If you come for the ruins, the guided visit: the only one with explanations and the entrance sorted. If you want beach and ruins in one day, the sailing boat, knowing that on Delos you are on your own. And if you prefer the site at your own pace and early, the independent boat at 10:00 comes to €45 for ticket and entrance.
